Gala del MET 2014

¡Hola a todos! Como cada año, ha llegado la mítica gala del MET. Y como ya es costumbre en este blog, os voy a mostrar los que en mi opinión son los mejores vestidos del evento además de los desaciertos. Pues bien, esta gala del MET se ha caracterizado en general por la sencillez de los vestidos. Con esto me refiero a que la mayoría fueron de colores clásicos como el negro, el blanco, el rojo y en este caso se ha visto también el rosa en diferentes variantes (rosa bebé, rosa fucsia...), y como mucho se optó por el bicolor. La mayoría de siluetas que enmarcaban los vestidos también fueron simples marcando el cuerpo femenino envidiable de las asistentes. Por otro lado, me ha sorprendido el hecho de que muchas de las que suelen ir siempre impecables no hayan destacado tanto esta vez (tales como Taylor Swift, Lupita Nyong'o o Kristen Stewart). 

Hi everyone! As every year, the METball has arrived. And as it's an habit in this blog, I'm showing you what's in my opinion the best of the event and its don'ts. Well, this METball has been defined in general by all the simplicity in their dresses. With this I refer that the majority of them where in classic colors  like black, white, red, in this case also pink in its different versions (baby pink, fuchsia pink...), and duo-colours as well. The majority of shapes where also simple, accentuating the enviable bodies of all the assistants. On the other hand, I was a little bit surprised that most of those who usually look impecable, didn't stand out yesterday night (such as Taylor Swift, Lupita Nyong'o or Kristen Stewart). 

GISELE BUNDCHEN // BALENCIAGA
A Gisele no le hace falta mucho más que un sencillo vestido negro con encaje estratégico para  acentuar su figura y recordarnos por qué es la modelo mejor pagada del mundo. / Gisele don't need too much, just a black laced dress to accentuate her perfect body shape and make us remember why she's the best payed woman on Earth. 

ROSIE HUNTINGTON // BELMAIN
Rosie rompió con las reglas del METball. Atreviéndose a cortar por lo sano, lució un vestido rockero en cuero negro y leopard print con pendientes maxi que le daban un completo look de chica mala. Me encanta. / Rosie broke the METball's rules. Daring to make a clean break, she wore a rocker dress in black leather and leopard print with maxi earrings that gave her a total aggressive look. I love it.

LILY DONALDSON // BURBERRY
Lily llevó un vestido bicolor sencillo pero muy apropiado y favorecedor. / Lily wore a simple but very appropriated and becoming bicolor dress.

CARA DELEVIGNE // STELLA MCCARTNEY
Cara fue otra de las asistentes que se atrevió a romper con el dress code. Llevó unos pantalones de talle alto blancos y un crop top negro, todo el look de nuevo con la tendencia bicolor en blanco y negro. / Cara also dared to break with the dress code. She wore a high waisted pants matched whit a black cropped top, one more time the total look was bicolor and in black and white colours. 

BLAKE LIVELY // GUCCI
Como imagen de Gucci, Blake no podía fallar a la marca y acudió al evento con este precioso vestido en dorado rosado que acentuaba claramente sus increíbles curvas. / As a Gucci face, Blake couldn't fail the brand and went to the event with this amazing gold-rosy dress that clearly accentuated her curves. 

CHARLIZE THERON // DIOR
Charlize también se apuntó al dúo bicolor en blanco y negro además de marcar sus curvas. / Charlize also wore a bicolor dress in black and white and marked her amazing curves. 

DIANE KRUGER // HUGO BOSS
Diane acertó también con este vestido cuyo color favorece mucho a la actriz. El maquillaje y el peinado un poco peculiar pero bonito hacían el resto. / Diane got right with this dress whose colour fit the actress very well. Her make up and her particular hair style did the rest. 

GEORGIA MAY JAGGER // THIERRY MUGLER
Georgia llevó un total look en negro con una abertura muy sexy en la pierna además de un pronunciado escote. / Georgia wore a total black look with an aperture in her leg and a pronounced cleavage. 

NAOMI CAMPBELL // GIVENCHY
El cuerpo de Naomi no tiene pérdida alguna y por eso mismo puede llevar un escote tan complicado como este con total naturalidad. / Naomi's body is perfect so she can wear a cleavage like this and look completely natural. 

RECHEL MCADAMS // RALPH LAUREN
El vestido de Rechel era muy simple pero el color le queda genial. Hecho en falta quizás alguna joya más en las muñecas y las manos. /Rechel's dress was so simple but the color fits her very well. Even though I think she would have looked better with more hand jewels.

JOAN SMALLS // VERA WANG
Este vestido color bronce favorece muchísimo a Joan con su color de piel y el toque lila en los labios le otorga muchísima personalidad. / This bronze dress suits Joan very much whit her skin tone. The purple lips give her a lot of personality. 

REESE WHITERSPOON // STELLA MCCARTNEY
Resse fue simple pero perfecta con este vestido fucsia. / Reese was also simple but perfect with this fuchsia dress.

RHIANNA // STELLA MCCARTNEY

RIHANNA // STELLA MCCARTNEY (BACK)
Este vestido me ha provocado algunas dudas, pero cabe decir que Rihanna sabe llevar lo que sea, y este vestido blanco le sienta genial. / This dress caused me a bit of confusion, but I have to say that Rihanna knows exactly how to wear whatever, and this white dress goes absolutely with her. 

SUKI WATERHOUSE // BURBERRY
Suki estuvo estupenda con este vestido nude que daba todo el protagonismo a la falda. / Suki was very pretty with this nude dress that gave all the importance to the skirt. 

SELENA GOMEZ // DIANE VON FRUSTENBERG
Selena se presentó muy elegante con este vestido color vino. / Selena went to the METball with this wine colored dress. 

ARIZONA MUSE // ZAC POSEN
Arizona llevó un vestido rojo precioso pero en mi opinión se equivocó con el peinado que  escogió. / Arizona wore an amazing red dress but in my opinion she got a wrong hair style.

JOHNNY DEPP AND AMBER HEARD // (AMBER) GIAMBATTISTA VALLI
Amber y su prometido Johnny Depp, acudieron juntos al METball. Ella lució un vestido de encaje con transparencias. / Amber went to the METball with her fiancé Johnny Depp. She wore a laced dress with transparency. 

ANNE HATAWAY // CALVIN KLEIN
Anne acudió al MET con un conjunto minimal en color rojo. El problema que les veo a los vestidos rojos es que se camuflan demasiado bien con la alfombra... / Anne went to the METball with a minimal red outfit. The problem I think red dresses have is that they camouflage too well with the red carpet...

ANNA WINTOUR/ CHANEL AUTE COUTURE
Y entre los don'ts que he escogido esta vez para enseñaros se encuentra Anna Wintour. Lo siento mucho, pero por muy Chanel que sea este vestido, Anna, ¿dónde le ves algo bonito?, si hasta el color del vestido se le funde con la piel y no le favorece nada... En mi opinión tiene más delito lo suyo teniendo en cuenta que estamos hablando de la directora de Vogue USA... / And with the don'ts I've chosen this time I wanted to show you Anna Wintour. I'm very sorry, but even it is a Chanel dress, Anna, where do you see something beautiful in it? , even the colour doesn't fit her at all... And in my opinion, it is worse if we think we're talking about Vogue USA's director...

MARGOT ROBBIE // PRADA
Otro don't que quería destacar es el de Margot. Por favor... Con lo guapa que es y el cuerpazo que tiene, ¿por qué ha elegido este vestido retro que además le echa años encima? Ponedle algo sexy  por favor!! ¿Dónde ha quedado el estilo que vimos en El Lobo de Wall Street? / Another don't I wanted to show you was Margot's. Oh please... She's very pretty and she has an amazing body... Why does she put this retro dress that makes her older? Come on, give her something sexy please! Where has gone the perfect style we saw at The Wolf of Wall Street?

KATE UPTON // DOLCE & GABBANA
Kate también es un don't. Poseedora de unas curvas increíbles e infinitas y de un escote envidiable, Kate ha escogido de toda la colección de Dolce & Gabbana el vestido menos favorecedor. Pudiendo haber acertado con un vestido de encaje negro y simple de tirantes que marcara su figura, ha escogido una pieza que me resulta bastante... rara? / Kate is also a don't. She has an amazing and infinite curves and an enviable bust and she has chosen of all the amazing dresses from Dolce & Gabbana this one... She could have chosen  any laced one which could accentuate her shape. But this is kind of... weird?
